.i have been trying to be really good about setting traditions.

.even when grumpy aka andrew doesnt like the idea.

.so we took the kids to the ward trunk-or-treat.

.we only went for 30-40 minutes...and within that time we went through a huge $8.88 bag of candy (andrew handed out)

and

.brooklynn filled her pumpkin halfway.

.GOSH.

earlier that day, i went and did a service project for a family in our ward. than i came home and grabbed lunch with evan and andrew (because evan came and watched b for me) and than dropped the boys off at school.

.came home...LOCKED OUT.

.seriously?

.so i called my girl janelle and asked if i could crash her place while she got ready (we were going to run errands anyways). well i was shower-less. diaper bag-less. makeup-less. brooklynn shoe-less. brooklynn nap-less.

,and of course, brooklynn pooed her pants (janelle had to go ask a neightbor for a diaper and 2 wipes), and brooklynn CRIED the whole time we were running errrands....agh, the worst. but we got through it and we came home and i had 2 hours to get things done before we had to leave....and at this point i had not even STARTED on figuring out b's outfit....awesome.

.threw some things together, called it good, swore to myself next year that i will figure out outfits WAY before...went to jump in shower and parker is hungry. AWESOME. feed parker, jump in the shower, get out of the shower... and b wakes up from her nap...awesome. throw myself together, get the kids dressed and out the door 10 minutes later than we were shooting for.

.headed to the trunk or treat, than over to the "kiddie carnival" that was a JOKE (thank goodness we didnt pay to get in, otherwise i would of been real mad. came home. ate dinner, bathed kids, fed parker, put b down, and headed off to my 10:15 ball game.

.so besides my day being SUPER stressful and throwing things together last minute, many said b looked really cute and parker too. (thank goodness they are young now and dont remember a thing.)

.i really wanted them to go together. i went from firefighter and dalmation to mary and a lamb, to dorthy and todo....since we are trying to save money for a house in texas...i had to go cheap.

.princess and a dragon it was.

.i was sold when i found the dragon costume at mommy and me, brought that baby home washed it up, good to go. i did get 2 princess costumes, but returned them because it looked like i got them from the dollar store. so i worked with what b had in her closet, and bought set of happy birthday hats, a crown and earrings for $3 bucks. covered the happy birthday hat with fabric i already had, out the crown on front, and curled some ribbon i had and added to the top.
