.finally an update.

.i cannot believe it has been a month since we last updated our blog.

.i guess thats what happens when your hubby is taking 18 credits, and its the only computer access you have, unless you want to type out all your blog posts on the i-pod touch... umm... i'll pass. thanks.

.so the most exciting news that has been going on in the westensee family is that we finally found out we are expecting a little girl April 22nd. i am pretty sure we are set on 

.Brooklynn Makenna Westensee. 

after we found out it was a girl, Andrew now talks to my stomach saying, "brooklynn." which was new, because he SWORE it was a boy, and the entire time up to the ultra sound he would say Ethan. 

.last month was also celebrated our one year anniversary together. It was very low key, but so much fun, and enjoyable to take time from our busy schedules and dedicate it to one another. it was much needed. thanks to our awesome parents, Debbie and Roger hooked us up with a hotel in downtown Salt Lake City, and I got a bit of what Roger got to experience. Andrew laughed so hard, because he said I was like a kid in a candy store. We got cheesecake when we first arrived, in a special room, with lots of other yummy desserts to choose from. Free pop. And a delicious breakfast in the morning. YUMMY!

.i will do a separate post for the mcdonald family thanksgiving. we want to thank all our family and friend who have been so supportive through everything for Andrew and I. We are eternally grateful. Andrew has one more week of school, and than he is all mine (besides sharing him with the mountain). We will try to be better about posting more, since it will just calm down a bit more here. THANK GOODNESS. Again thank you to all who have been there for Andrew and I. We love you.

.nobody is in my life right now.

.friday night, during our date night. we talked to holly on the phone. she was thrilled and excited but started to tear up about missing us when she was talking to andrew. andrew informed her that we miss her too, and handed the phone over to me. i told her to go eat dinner and we can skype later tonight. she started crying more, but said, "i love you tash, and miss you very much. goodbye." we hung up the phone.

.today i sent tammy an email updating her on us, and giving her the link to my sisters blog. (she wanted to see the "birthing pictures" and the video i has talked about). She responds later with an update on the family, how their Sunday was treating them and this.

.i read it to andrew when he got home. he laughed so hard.

.(E-mail from Tammy). 

Not much news here. H melted down after she talked to you.  It went something like this. 

H:  Whaaaaa!  Whaaaaa!  I miss Tasha.  Nobody is in my life right now.  (with her crying DRAMATIC voice)

Me:  (Trying really hard not to laugh.)  Holly Wen I am in your life right now, and I love you girlie.  You are MY girl!  (I pick her up and hug her)

H: Whaaaaaa.... I mean my babysitter.  My babysitter is not in my life right now.  WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaa!

Kyle:  Holly, Tasha is too in your life quit being so dramatic.

Holly:  (Opens up the patio door, steps outside, shuts the door, and from inside the kitchen we hear, "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, why God, Why, I wan't Tasha back.  Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Me to Kyle:  Wow, the neighbors are going to think we beat her or something.

Holly:  (re-enters into the house, wipes her eyes, and says):  "Wow!  I'm hungry!  What's for dinner!" 

We were laughing.  Her tears were real when she got off the phone, no doubt about that, but oh my....

.update for the family.

.andrew recently celebrated his 23rd birthday at home, where is family spoiled him rotten. andrew is taking 18 credits this semester. he is VERY busy. and working hard to keep a 3.7 or higher so we wont have to pay anything for his schooling his senior year (fingers crossed). he is very excited for this semester to be over, and for the snow to start falling, here in Idaho. We actually are suppose to have a WARM week with our high of 60. Which is so good for Idaho. The mornings are COLD,  but warm up throughout the day. Andrew's parents got him a ski pass to the local Mt here in Idaho. Andrew is THRILLED, and simply counting down the weeks for the semester to be over. 

.i am currently still working at the daycare, I am morning shift over infants, which i l.o.v.e. I get done with work about 2:30 and come home, take a nap, make dinner and spend time with Andrew. I really enjoy it, minus the germs and my horrible immune system.

.In August Andrew and I took a short/crammed packed vacation to Medford Oregon and Vancouver Washington. I sure miss home. I love the feeling of "home" when I walk into our apartment knowing this is the start to our long, loving, enduring adventure together....but I still miss home. I loved seeing people in Washington, skiing/boating in Oregon. While there I surprised Andrew with some news.

.thats right. we are expecting. i am currently 13 weeks along, due April 22. We were able to hear a heartbeat two weeks ago, and what an experience that was. I pulled out a "newborn" diaper and showed Andrew, his reply, "What did we get ourselves into?". he is loving the thought that it COULD be a boy. we have names picked out. now we wait until december, we find out if its a boy or girl. VOTE GIRL!

.thats about it. we are just counting down 5 weeks from now. we will start our Thanksgiving vacation in Arizona with my family, celebrate our one year anniversary (can you believe its been a YEAR already), and than a week after our vacation find out if we are having a boy or girl. Than 3 more weeks of school and work to our Christmas vacation in Utah with Andrew's family.

.vacation.

.i can see the light at the end of the tunnel!! And i am THRILLED. two more work days (working the 6:30-2:30 shift), and i will be driving to my vacation. our plans got changed just a bit, so it will be ALOT of driving in a short about of time, the first little bit... but its going to be AWESOME! Utah is going to start off our vacation for some westensee family fun...than our drive to medford oregon, (14 hours)... will land us there about 3 am or so....few hours of sleep, and boating ALL DAY! I am THRILLED to finally let my body suck in some sunshine :) Camp Monday night, boat again all day Tuesday :) Tuesday night, five hour drive home to WASHINGTON! Stay there until Monday morning, back home to the burg.

.i am so excited for my much needed vacation. i know pathetic. SO excited. will keep ya posted on throughout our trip :)
