.arizona trip. part one.

.i saw a little break in andrew's work, and mentioned going to arizona to visit and go boating....he said, "as long as you save enough money." haha. i dont think he realized i was dead serious when i said im planning a trip to arizona.

.we went for a week, and it was marvelous. i loved it so much. the kids played/fought with their cousins, i spent time with my sisters, we celebrated andrew's birthday, we got to play basketball, we got to go on two dates, we got to go boating...with and without the kids. it was just awesome.

.so our plan was to leave saturday morning. i was up WAY late friday, and so was andrew... so when saturday morning came too fast, we decided to leave sunday instead. so saturday brooklynn and i ran some errands, while the boys hung out at home. it was just overall a very relaxing day. i left the car packed, and we just hung out at home.

.sunday we drove. i was not looking forward to the 13.5 hour drive (thats a straight shot, NOT with kids. we left at 4:30am. andrew drove the first half and thank goodness he did because there were deer like crazy and i would of just been more on edge than he was. the kids did great. we took an hour lunch break and let the kids roam. we took our time eating, we let the kids scream/laugh/play and just MOVE before putting them in a car again. i was actually shocked we didnt have to stop for breakfast. the kids did awesome. thank goodness for mommy's packing of snacks, toys, and our wonderful $60 dollar black friday dual screen DVD player. we arrived and the cousins went nuts. literally.

.my kids disappeared upstairs for what felt like the remainder of the night. we just caught up with my sisters and my brother in law and ate awesome food.

.too bad we still had a ways to go...thankfully the speed limit was 70 and 80 most the way.

.monday- the "sisters" went and played basketball with some other ladies at 6:30am. it was WONDERFUL. i miss playing ball so much, and cannot wait for church ball to start up in january (i guess we have some awesome ball players in our ward). anyways we played ball, than came home and dustin, andrew and i took all the kids to chick fli a to play and play while my sisters worked on growth boards. (my sister makes ADORABLE growth boards and sells them on her etsy site. SUPER cute. ) Once we brought the kids back from chick-fli-a the younger kids took naps, and the older kids played. Than we headed over to my brother-in-law's brothers house for a bbq and to swim at their pool. it was tons of fun. the kids loved playing, jumping on the tramp, playing on their playset, harassing their dog. it was pretty much kid heaven. we ate delicious bbq and than played "nertz"....of course the mcdonald's took the victory.

tuesday- we got up and started getting things ready to go boating. we were going to go for a half day, once dustin got home from work. we headed out around 1:30 and had a blast. i was eager/nervous/anxious to see how my kids would do on a boat...and I have to say not too bad at all. b absolutely LOVED it and was in total heaven. she LOVES anything to do with water. we took turns wake surfing and everytime b would yell "my turn"....we figured give it a shot, and so out she went with dustin. she LOVED it. she was literally trying to jump off the surf board at one point and was just having a blast. total highlight of my trip was b wake surfing...she is such a stud.

.wednesday- we just hung out, and i went out to lunch with andrew for his "birthday"... we had plans to go to texas road house (i was CRAVING their rolls) and we showed up and they didnt open until 3:30. i was all for waiting, but andrew...not so much. so he picked applebees...really? anywhere and THATS where you pick, common, we aint stuck in rexburg anymore. you can expand out a little more son. goodness. later that night we celebrated his birthday. well we sung to him. hahaha. dustin made another AWESOME meal, and we bought cheesecake for andrew's birthday cake. my sister is a little OBSESSED with halloween, so that is why their is some FREAKY/NASTY fingers poking out of andrew's cheesecake. birthday boy turned 26.
